Sometimes, I lie awake late at night, alone in my big, comfy bed, Dreaming of eulogies no one will say about me when I am dead. by jon [Author of The "Zero's Journey" and The Golden Role] www.Always Believe In Your Dreams dot com

In order for things to change and improve, you don't need a "change of venue." What you need is a "change within you!" by jon [Excerpt from iContractor1]
People ALWAYS act according to their highest priorities, their "real priorities" actually. If you want to know what their real priorities are, take a look at what they give the majority of their time and energy to. If they aren't doing something that they say they want to, it's because it's not really a high priority, something else is, everything else is just an afterthought. by jon author of The "Zero's Journey" and The Golden Role

People readily buy into the divisive dichotomy of this we/them mentality. As long as we can separate ourselves from them, we think we are afforded some level of immunity from them and their problems. However, if we get too close to them, we might catch what ails them: their bad luck, their failure, their homelessness, their unworthiness and so on. In other words, if we get close enough to them to realize that they are no different from us, then what is to protect us from a similar fate? This backwards, closed-minded thinking blocks us from extending compassion to them and from acknowledging that, in reality, there is no separation such as we/them anyways because we are really all ONE. by jon [Excerpt from The Golden Role book]

Happy Winter Solstice!
The overriding purpose and value of spirituality lies in encouraging and supporting your cooperation with the plans that God already has for you and, in actuality, has already begun to initiate in your lives. by jon [Excerpt from The "Zero's Journey"]

The more I learn about everything, the less, I now realize, I know about anything!

Quote by Chamfort
If you don't love who you are already, changing the "package" that your container is will not change that.
Most people fail, in my humble opinion, not because of their non-conformist tendencies, but rather due to their efforts to conform.... If you know yourself and truly love yourself, how could you possibly deny that?
When you live your life with passion, often your passion, your afflatus, finds you!

You can't expect to hit your target without first having a target to aim at.
Most people develop very constipated, restrictive views of themselves based upon these labels that they then use to define and confine their capabilities.

Letting go of all of your attachments also brings great clarity to your life. Devoid of all of your attachments, you can finally see your true self. by jon [Excerpt from The "Zeros Journey"]
When you are in the thick of a Dark Night, it feels (more) like you are just letting everything go. Period. No rebound, no rebirth, just finality as you plummet to the depths of absolute zero. by jon [Excerpt from The "Zeros Journey"]
Traveling along this "zero's journey" is very much akin to dying while you are still alive... It can seem as though you are being forced to witness, and even participate in, erasing the memories of your very existence: purging, selling off or having taken away all that you worked so hard to acquire or accomplish. by jon [Excerpt from The "Zeros Journey"]

In fact, in the very moment you want to give up, that is when you must give it all you've got. That is when you are on the brink of your biggest breakthroughs. by jon [Excerpt from The "Zero's Journey"]
How many of you have ever been the last to get picked for a sports team or event, as a kid, and had the two sides fight over who gets stuck with you? Imagine that same scenario as an adult, except that you have now been rejected by Team Life. It seemed to me that Life had pulled me from the game and stuck me in a permanent "time out." by jon [Excerpt from The "Zero's Journey"]

I look around me and I am truly humbled by the never-ending stream of blessings before me. Eighteen years ago, I was hooked up to a ventilator, hovering between life and death, following a ruptured appendix that had turned to peritonitis and gone septic. EVERY breath I get to take is such sweet nectar! by jon [Excerpt from The "Zero's Journey"]
When the Dark Night of the Spirit came to roost, everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, everything of value in my life, was forcibly stripped away from me... I was left alone ti handle the unpleasant tasks of shuttering the practice: selling, storing or purging its contents and prepping the building for sale in a mad-dash effort to outrun the mounting storm of sheriif sale that was evermore bearing down on us for delinquent property taxes. by jon [Excerpt from The "Zero's Journey"]

During the writing of The "Zero's Journey", it became readily apparent that one of two scenarios was taking place: either I was being "groomed" for something far bigger than even I could comprehend or I was being not so slowly incinerated by Life itself! by jon [Excerpt from The "Zero's Journer"]

When I was a freshman in college at Saint Bonaventure University, back in the early '80s, I was much more together and sure of myself than I was four years later at graduation.
